First Choice Utilities partner with FGR Community

We are delighted to announce that First Choice Utilities have partnered with FGR Community to actively support our vision and mission of inspiring sustainable change in our communities.

The independent renewable energy consultancy shares the same vision of protecting the environment and promotes cleaner, greener and more sustainable energy.

Their support will allow FGR Community to continue to reach more people and have greater impact in implementing its charitable aims and objectives.

With thanks to First Choice Utilities, FGR Community were able to react and respond to the immediate need in October half term to supply up to 150 meals to the local community in Nailsworth and surrounding areas.

Sarah Urquhart, Head of FGR Community said: “The issues of isolation and loneliness have really heightened throughout the recent pandemic and this partnership will allow us to provide sustained support to those in need in our communities moving forward.”

Anthony Anderson, who is vegan and is the Managing Director of First Choice Utilities added: “When the opportunity to become a community partner of Forest Green Rovers was made available, we knew it was something we had to be involved with.

“Our shared passion for Green Energy generation and sustainability is matched with our passion for sustainability of communities and we are excited to roll our sleeves up and be actively involved in playing our role as a supporter and partner of Forest Green’s Community Partner Programme.”

James Grady, Community Outreach Coordinator at FGR Community concluded: “We are delighted to work with First Choice Utilities, their support in these difficult times will allow us to continue to develop and deliver high quality programmes that have a sustained impact on our local communities.

“Their support will allow us to reach and touch the lives of people of all ages who need our help. We really look forward to seeing where this partnership will take us.”
