First Choice Utilities

GreenCode Accreditation

First Choice Utilities are pleased to announce that we have partnered with GreenCode as an extension of our partnership with FGR Community.

This partnership will allow us to help our clients receive accreditation from a world recognised scheme and display to their clients that they are champions of sustainability.

As part of our Green Energy proposals, First Choice Utilities can also register you for the scheme and help you to achieve your operational goals in the reduction of energy waste, carbon emissions, and overall energy spends.

Anthony Anderson CEO had the following to say; “This is a fantastic scheme lead by experts in sustainability. Our ongoing partnership with FGR has allowed us to share ideas in our efforts to drive our shared vision of a greener future. Being able to offer this service to our clients will allow them to display not only to their prospective clients, but also their supply chain, that they are responsible in their commitments to climate change and hold a high standard of sustainable working practices”.

The EFL has recently announced the launch of ‘EFL Green Clubs’, a new League wide scheme supporting Clubs across the country to improve their environmental practices and operations.

The scheme is delivered by GreenCode, – a worldwide recognised accreditation scheme founded by Dale Vince and the team at Forest Green Rovers - recognised by the United Nations and FIFA as the world’s greenest football club.

The scheme will benchmark clubs environmental rating, provide bespoke guidance and practical advice to help clubs implement change and recognise those that excel in this area.

As part of the scheme, The EFL will also be undertaking a GreenCode assessment to help improve its own practices from an organisational level, and The EFL Trust – the charity arm of The EFL, will be appointing a Sustainable Development Coordinator to support the initiative.

Full support will be given to all participants with achievable targets set and a plan for the route to success.
